Bellringer has a new track available on a limited edition split 7" titled " A Girl Did It" The track features Aaron Lack on Drums, Bruno Ruinenlust on Bass, and myself handling guitar, vocal, and a variety of sonic manipulations.... This is a sassy little number about what happens when girls get mad in Texas, and has the grind and girth, so snap this up while you can. This track is only available on vinyl through bandcamp, and there will be NO digital release of this track !!! Other bands on the split are Flyin' Lion and John Wesley Coleman III from Austin, and Toranavox from NYC.
I've been collaborating with Gridfailure, Dave Brenner's sonic tapestries of apocalyptic anxiety ridden cognitive dissonance. I just contributed to one track on the Hostile Ambient EP, but there is a whole lot more to come on future Gridfailure releases. This has been a real adventure in the obtuse, oblique and just plain scary. Put this on your fuzzy warbles and drive around the block after midnight again and again and again and again...READ of Dave's process and subsequent insanity HERE.
Did an interview with Noisey/Vice a couple of weeks ago for the Jettison LP release and to just blather on about whatever Gary wanted...a cool thought provoking interview that made me actually think about answers.
Noisey is also running the exclusive stream of Jettison embedded in the interview. You can get vinyl and download your very own copy here. Vinyl is now shipping, and is limited, so get one while you can.
Got lucky with the screenshot above....probably the first and last time I'll get to share a page with the legendary Ladybeard !!

The video promo for the Bellringer LP Jettison is now live on my youtube channel. The video features an excerpt from the track Demon, and was made by Jennifer Deutrom. The Bellringer LP will be released in August 2016 through Rock is Hell Records in two different physical configurations as well as a download.
The split LP I did with the Australian band DEAD is now shipping. This features 4 new tracks from me that are only available on this 180g vinyl with a hand screened cover and inside sleeve. Get it here. Limited to 200 only.
One of Bellringer's collaborators Monique Ortiz has her own band Alien Knife Fight and I've been producing tracks for their album in progress. This is some great stuff she does with her partner Mike Howard on drums. We've been getting massively dense bass tones, and this is a huge sound with killer vocals from Monique on top of that. This is how you do a two piece.
Did some production work last month with a band from Fort Worth named Sharpy. Glad to be right there at the beginning with them. They have a visceral and emotive approach to their material which combines huge clouds of psychedelic sludge flavored guitar work with giant hooks and passionately delivered thoughtful lyrics. Watch for this band.
Pre order is now up for my Split LP with Australian band Dead. A video promo made by Jennifer Deutrom for the LP is also up on youtube. This release will be 180g vinyl only with a hand screened cover limited to 250 copies. There will be no digital version available for download or streaming. Shipping July 2016.
Couple of releases on the horizon - a split LP with Australian band Dead, and also the Bellringer LP.
The split LP will be vinyl only. This will be super limited and only available through my band camp page and at Bellringer gigs. Release date for this is sometime in June/July.
The Bellringer LP should be out in July or August and will also be a limited release on vinyl with a hand screened edition as well as an offset one. There will be a digital version available for our friends around the world who are turntable challenged. This album features contributions from my long time collaborator percussionist/drummer Aaron Lack, as well as James Flores on drums, Monique Ortiz on bass and vocals, and Brian Ramirez on bass.
